This has been a very difficult year for us, first my daughter and now my Father has died.   I have been spending 8 hours a day in the ICU since I got back from the Fall Conference.  My father had bleeding problems after getting a new heart stint.  He was put on plavix for the stint, but 5 days later he started having internal bleeding.  He was taken of all blood thinners but he still needed over 30 units of blood during the past two weeks.  During that time he had several gastric probes which found and treated 6 bleeding ulcers, and eventually surgery to try and stop his bleeding.  He would seem to get better, our hopes would be up, and then start losing blood again.  He had a massive bleed yesterday, and died this morning.

He did have a good life, and was able to say goodbye to his family.
We will miss him.

It is too soon after my daughters death, for me to be very accepting of his loss.  Keep me in your thoughts,

Linda Fox

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear of your losses.  You loved them both dearly and they knew it, but it hurts no matter what.  Thinking of you,

Linda,

In a period of 3 years I lost both parents, 2 aunts and my grandmother. Multiple losses are so incredibly hard. My heart goes out to you. You and your family are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. Take good care of yourself.
