A super big thanks to Kat for coming out to the West Coast to help us better understand the program.  We've been working on measurements and using the newest templates to proof those measurements.  We've learned so much and now have far better measurements than before. Tomorrow we'll have a "working breakfast" and go over the tools in the program.  I've attended numerous conferences in the Elgin area, but it's really great to just drive a few miles north to attend this one.  Again, thanks Kat, and we're looking forward to our next conference.

The class was a great success - super students, a great venue (The Shibori Dragon, in Tacoma, WA - just about the most addictive store I ever walked into) with helpful hosts, and I couldn't BELIEVE how much easier it is to get measurements right from scratch with the new paper checks!  We had everyone in beautifully fitted bodices in two days, spent the third day going over tools, and are eager to do another one just on pants.

Thanks again, Kat!

Yes it was a success!

Kat is home safe and sound but is tired. Although tired, she was very excited to tell us about all the success everyone had with getting a good bodice skimmer.   Congrats ladies - now you will be able to start sewing and creating wonderful garments!

Also, Kat did mention that early in November she would like to have another conference in the Seattle area.

Love to see some pictures from you all!

I must add my 2 cents worth - the conference was a great success but my mind is reeling with all the new tricks, tips and techniques.  I am so looking forward to making a blouse using my new skimmer (that actually fits!).  Everyone was so helpful to those of us who were so green.  I am looking forward to being home and cutting out "something" to see how it all works.  In searching the forum I found a very interesting site where Kat defines which blouse patterns are good with the different body types,(H,O,X,A, etc) it is several years old but interesting and I am assuming that the use rules are still very applicable.  Kat, you are so patient and thoughtful - your knowledge is amazing, picking your brain is such fun - you have so much to share and are so willing to do so.  I too am looking forward to another conference, especially on the pants.  In an another few months we should have a much better base to start from and the progress will be great.  Thank you to all who made this possible.  Leah Cool

Several light bulb moments for me.
The one that everyone should know -- has nothing to do with TCC -- is that every USB plug has a seam on the BOTTOM of the metal. The seam goes down into the hole on the computer.
What a time saver that has been.
Also have a fix for that funny curve seam for me on my bodice pattern with a +2.00 at across chest [think that is right as my program is closed at the moment] and a -2.00 at the bust. Ta-dah the seam is now straight to sew. Awesome!!
I made a costume from TCC about a month before the conference. I will post the pictures in Design and Stitch and then Gallery.

Leah,
Would you happen to remember where you saw this? I'd like to refresh my brain.

Thanks!
