Well, I hurt my left wrist about 3 weeks ago. I've tried wrapping it for a day or two, here and there, but mostly, just tried to keep up my same activity level and thought it would go away. It didn't. It's a sprain and the dr said today immobilized for at LEAST 1 week, possibly longer. Sooooo.....no sewing/quilting/knitting for me for a while. I know it's in my own best interest to let it rest and heal. And at the same time....feels like punishment. So I'm completely bummed..... Embarrassed

that is a bummer -- time to get out the sewing dvds and videos to get inspiration for when you're "mobile" again

Yes, what a bummer, but as Gayle said, read/look at your books, magazines, videos etc.

I am not very good about letting things heal, but I know that you will be better in the long run if you are "good". So hang in there!

Thanks for all the good thoughts. I had my first PT today and it's still mostly in it's splint, with periodic visits to the ice pack and thermcare pack. It's tendonitis of the tendon attached to the left thumb. However, the PT said if I could do the activity w/o pain, then it wouldn't hurt me. I'm going to try some machine embroidery tomorrow. Really....how hard could that be on a thumb tendon, right?  Roll Eyes
