After our chat this Tuesday, I amended the pattern and reuploaded it. I added the ability to see the looseness on the foot. Remember - this is a VERY simple pattern. I had one version with a maribou feather trim, but between the cat and the puppy it became a chew toy. So I sewed another quickly with a bit of left over fleece, some rubbery shelf liner, timtex for stiffening the sole and a small amount of left over fur scrap. They are very comfy, do not slip and I think that show the simple pattern well. I have also included a snag of the plan piece and pattern pieces from print layout, so you can see what I did.

Those turned out real well. I have only done the embroidery so far for the tops of mine.

Very cute Smiley  How do you think they'd wear on ceramic tile?  It's been very hard on my socks and so I've gone to a rubber soled slipper because it tends to wear holes through softer things. I purchased some of that non-stick rubber sole material for some g-kid slippers that never got made. I wonder if that would work very well on the tile?

I have a lot of ceramic tile, and wore the slippers last night. They seemed really good - no slipping or shifting. And they kept my feet pretty warm. I put a layer of the rubber stuff on the bottom, then layer of the fleece, then the timtex (no seam allowances) then another layer of the fleece. So the sole is pretty stable. I might add some batting for a softer sole, but am not sure at this point. I also sewed a straight line down the middle of the sole to hold everything from shifting. I had thought about doing some nice shapes, but decided that it would mess with the design of the slipper. So I just did the one line down the middle. The only problem that I am having is that the puppy has decided that she loves them. She is not chewing them - just stealing them and sleeping with them!
