MsB Can't have ALL the fun

I had cut this blouse out in February, but with my football shoulders it still fits. I finished it for the memorial service since my sister had recommended bright colors. This fabric is Poly - and a pita to sew a blouse - had to hand base the collar in (me who is Bishop trained and almost NEVER hand baste). It is basically a printed chiffon - the body of the blouse is lined in black. I love wearing it to work and the tie falls in a very nice way.
I've worn it with red, with black, with grey - and it would work with a matching burgundy though that is not currently in my wardrobe. And it is my favorite pattern (thank you Ann for encouraging the tie collar and Kat for drafting it). I drops over my head. The only thing I would do different is put 2 buttons on each cuff as they are too soft really for only one.
I puttered with the transparency in the color a bit but it looks realistic - just photographed kind of dark. And I always tuck my blouses in, but had Jim take these pics with it out so you could see...

Really nice Kathryn! I love it when I can find a print fabric that can be worn with so many other items.

Thank you all for your comments.
High praise indeed Denise.
I will have this with me at the user conference - I really enjoy wearing it.

Fabulous blouse, but what did you do with the rest of my friend? I am going to be pleasantly shocked when I see y'all in November.

Well - the rest of your friend was just visiting. Unfortunately, the visit lasted for a realllllllllly long time.
Looking forward to seeing you in November.

Yes,
Looking forward to seeing everyone again! And Kat is right maybe in some of our down time (HA HA), someone will sew me a new tunic!
I have lost a little weight myself - about 30 pounds - nothing special - just watching what I eat, cutting back on the desserts - which my boyfriend always ordered when we went out - he ate a fork full and was done!
But now that he and I have broken up (after 9 years) I am passing on the sweets! Got to get in better shape to find the REAL Mr. Right!
I will see some of you at the Conference Thursday Morning - it will be good to talk with you all again!
