I have been missing in action for months [feels even longer] due to issues with both my brother for whom I am legal guardian and my now 91 year old mother. phew
I just want to thank Tari for capturing all the chats and merging them with screen captures. Feel like I can just merge myself back in without a beat.
Now if the mold I just found in my sewing room would magically disappear...

Yuck! I HATE mold. John just pulled a dishwasher out to check a leak, and found while all the cats have been sitting in front of it - a nest of baby mice. There were a lot of VERY nasty words coming up from the bar area for a bit and a lot of banging sounds. Apparently our Schnauzer and one of the cats helped him out. He is now setting glue traps all over the house. Oh well..... welcome to winter in the Midwest.

Nothing like a good ratter or cat to take care of a mouse issue. Mine chased a mouse up the stone fireplace in our Ma. house and I had to call a neighbor over to peel the thing off the ceiling. When he released it outside he said it had a large hole in its side. I am surprised it managed to get away.
The mold was inside my overhead cupboard. So I hubby pulled it off the wall to check the wall behind the cupboard. It wasn't on the wall behind but covering the back of the cupboard. Weird. Ca. has been rainy rainy rainy this winter which is good for our drought but since the walls of any house out here has barely no insulation, the lack of sunshine and all the rain is causing condensation inside the room. I have turned on the air filter in there just to keep the air moving. May have to actually put an extra heater in there. Had to throw out a June Tailor blocking board; have my home made square ironing board out in the sun today. I just reworked it last year and it took four days so I really don't want to take it apart and wash all the bits and then hand sew it back on the plywood. After cloroxing the mold off, I painted the cupboard with some kind of sealer they sold me at the hardware store and then late this afternoon painted the last coat over the sealer. It is drying in the garage. Hoping to put is all back together once hubby gets home mid week.

Duckie,
So glad to hear that you are back. I had been missing in action for quite a while so I used your chat logs to get up to speed last fall. I'm happy that I was able to do the same for you.
