Wanted to get some new/quick/easy appetizer recipes.  I hate to admit it, but I did go on line to Pillsbury.   Found so many that look like a snap to make and 5 or less ingredients!

Just thought I'd share, the site also has categories for dinner, dessert, dieting etc.

I had a new-to-me appetizer spread and asked my friend for the recipe.  Turns out it is super easy.  I usually am one to make things "from scratch" but resorted to this for my ASG Christmas party (remember, I was sewing all day?) ... and several people commented on how good it was   Wink

One block (8 oz) cream cheese.
One tub of Cranberry Celebration*
Crackers (I used Club crackers)

Pour the cranberry sauce over the top of the cream cheese (best with cream cheese at room temperature).
Serve with crackers

*carried by my local grocery chain, Kroger.  I imagine most of the big chains will have something similar since I've found that Kroger & Jewel tends to have similar private label items.  It is prepackaged and sold in the dairy/deli refrigerated section.  The main ingredients are cranberries, pineapple, walnuts.  In doing a Google search I found this copycat recipe from one of our local cooking experts.  I think it would be more like the original if if you were to include some chopped fresh berries.

Sounds good Gayle, thanks.   I will have to try, in the past I have done the cream cheese block and pour cocktail sauce over it and then sprinkle either small shrimp or shredded crab meat.
