Stabilizing Your Skimmers

We've recommended that the necklines, armscyes, and waistlines of bodice skimmers be reinforced/stabilized by stay tape or seam binding or at the very least staystitching.
Where?
Bodice skimmers: neckline, armscyes, waistline
Skirt skimmer: waistline
Pants skimmer: waistline
However, you have to be careful when staystitching because if you do it improperly you can distort the fabric just by the action of staystitching. (what? the cure causes the problem?)
