Hilda's Oriental look

Well this has been a PITA for me. I used three different kinds of satin on this and none of them played well together. The pics look a lot different then in person but it's fabric with a black background with dark teal vines over the whole garment and then the lil flowers of different colors all over. The "float" on this fabric did not make me a happy camper when pressing. Glad to be done with it! The whole garment is lined with a bright teal, different than the piping. I planned this as a dressy jacket/blouse to go over a tank or a dress is how i would see it. Playing with the asymmetry was fun. I wish the shine didn't pick up so strangely on the photo but hope it at least gives you all an idea. Much happier with the garment than the pics of it.....

very classy and fun!
I ooh and ahh over the brocades every time I browse through the fabric store but always pass them by.
Why can't all the "pretties" be friendly to work with?

How beautiful and creative can this be? Not only do I see a black skimmy dress under it, I see you in it. Yummy.
