I just came back from my final doc appt and was released with flying colors and the command to eat anything I want!  After being a foodphobic for so long, reintroduction to most foods will be pretty slow, but DH has promised front row seats to Barry Manilow and a filet mignon on Valentine's Day, Italian tomorrow night, and probably some nachos sometime next week.
Thank you all for encouraging us through this last month.  With my frightening ordeal, and the death of Dwayne's mom Jan 3, our plate has been full.
As always, when you put your troubles at the foot of the Lord, the best results come through; I am no longer aware of having a gut, and my sweet mother-in-law is where she has wanted to be for several years.  The most joyous thing is that she saw her mother's face for the first time in her life because her mom died when Nonnie was three months old.  Can you imagine the joy??

Again, thanks, and I'm back!!

Congratulations Kelly! I'm thrilled to hear your challenges are now behind you. Rick's mom was placed in hospice 2 weeks ago, so I certainly know that pain as well. And like your MIL, she's ready to move to what is next. Take care.
