We are really looking forward to this one. The performance release will be making a sneak presentation, and the garments that we will be taking to Puyallup will be available to see and comment on. Also, there are another couple of experimental patterns to play with and the new bags and organizers will be there. So please plan on a filled day!

I just wanted to drop a quick note of apology that I won't be able to make it tomorrow; I'll be sewing sea slug costumes with the rest of my committee until well into the afternoon.
"Hello" to the group.  I hope you all have a wonderful, informative meeting.

Blessings,
Laura

Hi,

The days are always too short. I tried out the new shoulder princess jacket (which I'm really anxious for) and Kat put a change into the pattern and is checking it out this week I think.  We also checked out a new pattern for a knit top with a kind of cowl or crossover collar, so that is going to be really nice. The instructions for the crossover are going to be a challenge to write. The topology wasn't perfectly intuitive. We never got to the performance part - were too busy with other things.

I got to see the swatch cards they have worked up for the Puyallup show, and it is NOT going to be boring. I just wish I could go, but maybe another year. I'm on hold for a fairly long business trip that may or may not happen, so my schedule is not my own. I can't wait to see the outfits once they're made up. They're not done yet, so that's why no pictures.

Laura was working on her pant fit, and Caroline had to leave early. Sarah was around and Rachel, so it was great to see everyone.

My sister came with me again - was out visiting with, actually helping with, Mom. She arranged her schedule so we could caravan together from Rochester to Elgin and then on Sunday, she went East to Grand Rapids, and I hit the road West for Rochester. Anyway, she had the same sleeve issue that many of the rest of us did, so she got some new measurements and her skimmer is a thing of beauty. Apologies - no picture. But she's not easy to fit in the chest and it was perfect!

If I get a chance to sew some clothes, I'll post, but what with getting ready for that 5 week trip that may or may not happen and having Mom over for dinner every night (a new regime, and I'm spoiled and not used to cooking) - the clothes may have to wait.

Kathryn,

I know how it is when life seems to overtake us. Thanks so much for taking the time to give us an update. I love to vicariously enjoy the monthly user group meetings.

Many thanks,
